Araujo's offerings extend beyond breakfast into vibrant shrimp tacos and the classic tacos asados, paired perfectly with sides like fluffy refried beans and well-cooked rice. The drink menu complements the food beautifully, with cocktails such as the Top Shelf Margarita and refreshing cucumber drinks adding another layer of satisfaction to the meal. Even the salsa, with its bold cilantro punch, adds character and authenticity.
What elevates Araujo's beyond just its food is its atmosphere—a calm retreat away from the urban hustle, shielded by neighboring apartments to create a private patio feel. “ This an amazing mom and pop Mexican restaurant. Service is a 10/10. Food is very good at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Happy Hour. For breakfast they have $2 breakfast burritos. ”
“ I see other reviews complaining about how the food looks, etc. This is authentic Mexican food. This is how it looks. I had the chilaquiles. At some restaurants, then rely on sauces, to cover up for dry chicken or other ingredients that can't stand alone. That wasn't my experience at Araujo's. The chicken was delicious by itself and all of the other ingredients were top notch. I truly enjoyed the food as well as the laid back atmosphere. I will return. ”
“ I've been buying my breakfast burritos at the wrong place all this time. Araujo's burritos were great. I have a new go to for Mexican food. ”
“ Authentic home made recipes. The patio has a calm and private feel to it. Surrounded by the apartments next door is ideal because it blocks out the sound from the busy street. ”
“ Not a bad lil spot at all. My waitress was good and attentive. Good music (Even though I speak very little Spanish) Place was spotless & restroom was clean also. I like the salsa even though it had an overpowering cilantro flavor. Anyway, check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa. ”
